As a rule of thumb, flights to Azores are considerably cheaper from Porto, Lisbon or London. Ponta Delgada airport has the highest number of flight connections.
You can get to the Azores islands using most holiday travel agents, or with your own travel arrangements. You can book your flight online with Azores Airlines, EasyJet or Ryanair. Be sure to book your flight ahead!
Q. What types of transportation from the airport are available?
Located less than 3 km from the city of Ponta Delgada, Airport John Paul II offers several options to take you to your destination. Just choose the option that is best suited to your needs and, in a short while, you'll be feeling right at home.
From the airport, you can take the Aerobus, which makes the connection to the Ponta Delgada city centre, also stopping at the island's main hotels.

Q. What are the dates of the workshop?
The dates of the workshop are April 3rd-7th 2018. Please arrive on the 3rd of April for the registration at 14:00. The check out date is on the 7th of April around 12 noon. If you prefer to stay more days, you just have to personally take care of your lodging and food.
Q. What is the payment structure of the workshop? Retainer amount and final payment as well as dates in which the payments are due.
The payment of your ticket can be done in 2 ways:
- 1 total payment of 1800 Euros
- 2 payments of 900 Euros. The initial payment reserves your spot at the workshop. The second payment (900 Euros) is due 4 weeks prior to the workshop.
Q. What is covered in my registration fee?
Your registration fee includes:
— Hotel accommodations during the 3-7 of April 2018
— Breakfast during all the workshop days
— Ground transportation during the shoots and field trip
— 5 days of adventure experience, bonfire nights with live acoustic music and dj, instructional class, hands on shooting, one on one portfolio critique, questions and answers with mentors

Q. What arrangements are made for meals?
All breakfasts are covered. For lunch and dinner there are nearby restaurants in the workshop area or you can cook your own food as kitchens are provided in each bungalows.
Q. What should I bring?
You should bring your favorite camera equipment, charger for your batteries and phone. Don’t forget to take your camera bag/backpack with you. If you wish you can bring your computer with you.
Q. What is the weather in April in Sao Miguel?
The climate in Azores is tricky, don’t let it bring you down. The wind can get a bit crazy, it rains often and most importantly: the weather changes quickly and frequently. But that just adds to the thrill of it, right?
The average sea tempeature is 16 °C (60.8 °F).
The average temperature in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel in April is mild at 15.1 °C (59.18 °F).
Afternoons can be somewhat warm with average high temperatures reaching 18.1 °C (64.6 °F).
Overnight temperatures are generally quite mild with an average low of 12.1 °C (53.8 °F).
In April the mean daily temperature variation/ range is 6 °C (10.8 °F).
Q. Will I have internet access?
Yes there is internet access available at the area of swimming pool and restaurant.
Q. Do I need a special international adaptor for electricity to charge my gear?
There are currently 15 types of electrical outlet plugs in use today, each of which has been assigned a letter by the US Department of Commerce International Trade Administration (ITA). The one is used in Archipelago of Azores islands is TYPE C.
